One day in early Spring, I was thinking about how sparse our selection of fresh vegetables is in the only grocery store we have in the county and how this probably originates somewhere far away like Mexico or California. We are an Agricultural county! Why can’t we get food locally?
We sold at the Cookeville Farmer’s Market for several years. That experience degraded as a vendor as people started bringing in produce from large distributors to sell as if the seller grew it themselves. SO DISHONEST!
I thought… we could have our own market! If homesteaders knew they could make some money by selling their produce locally, they’d plant more than they need to provide food for our community.
So I recruited some awesome folks to help me and off we went! Things came together quickly and we are opening in 2026!
Super Special Thanks to:
